How to use Matting option in Photoshop Cs3 – [Text]
When we try to copy a picture from a light color background into dark color or dark color into light color some of the pixels surrounding of the selection border are included with the selection. This can make a fringe around the edges. To reduce/remove these pixels we use the option call “MATTING” in Photoshop cs3.
For this tutorial I’m going to use this picture.

First we have to make a background layer under the image layer.

Then using the Magic Eraser Tool remove all the white background area from the image.

When you finish removing the white area click on the image layer and then Choose Layer > Matting > Remove White Matte. it will automatically remove all the fringe around the image.

In this image you can see the different.

Very simple and very cool Option ::: check it out….. Hope you like this tutorial.
